HE Rocky Mountain News has moved to a new, delightfully small size. It's really a magazine size, and they are taking advantage of the change to update the redesign I worked on with a team from Danilo Black four years ago. This time there was a much deeper involvement from the staff, including workshops based on the project in Houston earlier last year.
Editor John Temple explains the work on the redesign in an unusual and fitting display of all the trials and errors. You can vote for the flag you would have selected.
The Rocky shows off the changes in the Active Paper "electronic edition", which is free this week.
This was an enormously productive and satisfying project, which I will describe in more detail later. But of course, the proof is in the pudding . . .
